We were very saddened to hear of the recent death of Brasenose alumnus and sporting legend Lt Colonel Terry Adams (Psychology & Philosophy, 1954) - as his son Tal Adams (Mathematics, 1984) writes in an online tribute, "...he captained Oxford University Amateur Boxing Club and earned multiple Blues. Considered one of the greatest boxers to ever represent the University, he would later become Honorary Life President of the Club." Our thoughts and condolences are with Tal and all of Terry's family.

We received the sad news this week that our Honorary Fellow Professor Brian Judd (Physics, 1949) passed away on 8 April 2023. We offer sincere condolences to his family and friends on behalf of the Brasenose community.

Professor Judd was also a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, and a Fellow of the American Physical Society.

Jo Baring Frankland Visitor 2023

From the 19th to the 24th of March, we undertook one of the most important and most ground-breaking events of the entire Brasenose calendar: the North Yorkshire Roadshow. 1

Given that term ends right at the start of December, I expected that we’d miss out on celebrating Christmas in Oxford, but instead, with Oxmas on November 25th, I’ve had double the festivities, and have celebrated Christmas both with friends from university and friends and family at home!received 984762105814380

"This first term at university has been a completely different experience to sixth form, and although it has taken some adjusting, it has been one of the best experiences of my life." IMG 7720
