Brasenose welcomes visitors, both prospective students, alumni and members of the public.
Prospective students should report to the Lodge at the main gate and will not have to pay the entrance charge. Please see the Schools Liaison section for further guidance on the admissions process.
Guided tours by travel companies and public visitors are very welcome and the opening times are:-
Monday to Friday 10.00 - 11.30
Saturday and Sunday 09.30 - 10.30am (term time)
Saturday and Sunday 10.00 - 11.30am (non-term time)
Monday to Sunday 14.00 - 16.30 (17.00 in British Summer Time)
There is an entrance charge of £2.00.
There are the times when the College (or parts thereof) will not be available; the College reserves the right to close at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. Please telephone the Head Porter (01865 277830) if you would like to check opening times.
Visitors should report to the Lodge at the main gate where they will receive a map and information about the College.
College visiting times for Alumni card-holders (at no admittance charge) are 9am to 5pm during the Summer months and 9am to 4.30pm during the Winter. Please be advised that access to the Hall may not be given during lunch time (12 - 2pm). Visits to the College Library are by appointment only. Please contact the Head Porter in advance if you wish to visit with several guests.
