TG2016Brasenose College again had a fantastic turn out for the Oxford Town and Gown 10K charity race, with a team of over 70 students, tutors and staff joining Team Brasenose for the run in support of Muscular Dystrophy UK.

Schama2Brasenose College was delighted to host acclaimed historian Simon Schama, writer of over eighteen books, on Thursday 12th May for a tea followed by a Q and A session and drinks reception on Old Quad.

TimRamsey2Former Classics and Arabic Brasenose student, Tim Ramsey, has set up a charity which sends recent LGBTQ+ school-leavers into schools to give talks and run workshops so pupils can hear personal accounts from people their own age about what it can be like growing up LGBTQ+.

collect4calaisThe Collect4Calais campaign was the first time I had really engaged with charity work in Oxford.  The proximity and inaction surrounding the situation in Calais grabbed my attention and, together with Sarita Shah, I formed Collect4Calais.

wellOnce again Brasenose is learning about its past by improving for its future. Old Cloisters is back to being a reading room for the summer term, however in the last few months a number of exciting discoveries have been made during the renovation works in Old Cloisters and in Deer Park quad.

PaterSociety11On the last day of the winter term, laughter could be heard coming from our lecture room as the Pater Society played host to the improvised comedy group Whiskey For Breakfast.

FradleyandteamThis spring Matthew Ward (Second Year, Law) and I competed as part of the Oxford team in the International Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition in Oxford.

CollierThe Brasesnose PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) Society was set up in 2016 by us, (Vivek Gupta and Will Feerick) two second year PPE-ists. The aim of the society is to invite interesting speakers to come and talk to students on topics related to one of the three subjects.

Les Mil poster 2If you’d told me a year ago that there was going to be a performance of the musical ‘Les Milibandles’, I would have made some very sarcastic noises of disbelief.
