Stipendiary Lectureship in Physics (New College)
Qualifications
MPhys (Trinity Coll. Oxford)
Academic Background
I completed my undergraduate MPhys in Physics at Trinity College between 2015 and 2019. My MPhys research project used a lab-based approach to simulate the atmospheric Quasi-Biennial Oscillation. I was supervised by Professor Peter Read and Professor Alfonso Castrejon-Pita.
My postgraduate studies are in microfluidics and inkjet printing, applying high-speed imaging to gain new insights into inkjet-printed photonics devices.
Undergraduate Teaching Areas
I teach Thermal Physics at Brasenose and Classical Mechanics and Electronics at New College.
In past years I have taught Quantum Mechanics at New College and given tutorials in the Engineering Science department on 3D Printing.
Research Interests
Liquid Crystal Lenses, Microfluidics and Lattice Boltzmann simulations.
Other
Outside of academic work, I sing with Somerville College Choir and regularly do backstage work as a Sound Designer for student shows around Oxford. My design portfolio may be found at www.fishlasers.co.uk
