Functional materials for energy storage and energy conversion applications;

Electronic materials, including electronic oxides, high temperature superconductors, materials for photovoltaic applications;

Sustainable energy, hydrogen economy, carbon dioxide conversion and utilisation;

New nanostructured catalysts for solar photolytic decomposition of water and conversion of carbon dioxide into fuels.
