Open Days 2019: Come and Visit!

opendays2019The next undergraduate Open Days at Brasenose College will be Wednesday and Thursday 3rd and 4th July. The College will be open from 9am to 5pm, and there’s no need to book, just turn up if you are interested in applying to Oxford for undergraduate study. At the Brasenose College Open Days, visitors will be given tours of the College by our army of friendly student helpers, and will be able to talk to them about undergraduate life, study and anything else they are curious about. The Senior Tutor, Dr Simon Smith, will give a general Life at Brasenose and Admissions talk (at 11am, repeated at 3pm), helped by some student ambassadors. Subject tutors will be available at various times to talk to prospective applicants about admissions procedures, study at Oxford and other issues, either through drop in sessions, or talks.

Angharad Morgan, who is helping organise the Open Days at Brasenose, commented: "Open days were 100% the reason I decided to apply to Brasenose - by then, I was already decided on Biology, but I think it’s really important to visit the university and the different colleges because all have slightly different vibes. While I loved most colleges I visited, straight away Brasenose felt like home, and definitely somewhere I could see myself spending the next three years of my life. I was shown around by a really enthusiastic, friendly open days helper - which, since coming here, I’ve realised basically describes every Brasenose student - and this was something that made such a difference, as I realised not everyone who studies here is a posh, stuck-up super human, just really lovely people that are passionate about their subjects!"

In October Brasenose has a diverse sets of students joining the College - over 75% of whom will be from state schools, amongst the UK freshers (read some statistics here). We are already thinking about the next crop of brilliant applicants and would love you to visit so you can see if Brasenose could be for you.
