Brasenose hosts a lunch every year on the Saturday of Eights Week for College members and their families wanting to watch the last day of rowing. To mark the Quincentenary there was a special lunch and entertainment for children on 30 May 2009.
The day saw hundreds of alumni and their friends and families descend on Brasenose where they were treated to a special rowing-themed lunch, and a variety of entertainment enjoyed by young and old alike: a George and the Dragon themed puppet show; a theatrical production of the Gingerbread Man; and magicians, brightly dressed clowns, balloon modellers and face-painters.
Despite all the excitement in College, many members made it to the river to watch the rowing!
