Brasenose was founded in 1509 thanks to the generosity of Bishop William Smyth and Sir Richard Sutton. Our long tradition of philanthropy has ensured that the College has continued to thrive for 500 years. The support of alumni and friends is important to the College's future plans and, with changing funding patterns and diminishing government support, we are working hard to raise funds that will ensure that we can continue to provide our students with the best environment possible.
