The basement works are still progressing well with more vertical works in the south-east corner and decking for the ground floor slab construction in the west and south wings.

All lift shaft walls were poured last week as were the remaining column and walls in the south wing

Both internally and externally, the JW Cottage 7 temporary support and restraint works have all been carried out. The removal of the rubble wall has also been carried out so that the ground floor slab can progress

This week will see more pouring of walls along the east wing and preparation for further pouring on the ground floor slab.

Daily deliveries of concrete as more elements become available to pour are expected, together with regular skip exchanges.

The basement works are still progressing well, and not only have more vertical works progressed, but the decking for the ground floor slab construction has begun in the west wing.

The basement works are still progressing well, and some vertical works have been completed.

Both column and wall reinforcement are being erected and installed. Several columns and initial parts of the courtyard external walls have been shuttered and poured.

Adjacent to the cottages, the ground floor temporary falsework is being erected in preparation for the construction of the ground floor slab (falsework is a temporary structure to support a permanent structure whilst it is unable to support itself – see photos).

This week will see more standing of columns, more courtyard walls, more decking and removal of the rubble wall.

We will also see the delivery of more falsework for the ground floor slab and core area construction, plus concrete deliveries as elements become available to pour.

The reinforcement for the basement floor slab was installed and supports for the vertical columns were also put in place.

This week the Vandex waterproofing membrane is being applied to the basement floor slab prior to the columns being stood up and wooden boarding put in place prior to concrete pouring.

A number of mobile elevated work platforms will be delivered for the forming of vertical elements.
