The last four years of my life have been INTENSE! I have just finished my undergraduate master’s in engineering science at Brasenose College and now I am writing this student blog to reflect on my time here

Leaving Brasenose feels almost the same as arriving did: terribly daunting, incredibly exciting and completely unknown.

Arriving at Brasenose for my first term was a whirlwind of emotions—excitement, curiosity, and a fair bit of nervousness. I was eager to embrace the opportunities Oxford had to offer but unsure of how I’d adjust to the new academic and social environment. Now, looking back, I can confidently say that my first term has been an incredible journey of growth, discovery, and memorable experiences.

My first term at Oxford University – a phrase my sixteen-year-old self would never have believed I could one day write.

Sometimes I forget I go to *the* Oxford University everyone is always talking about. Even after two terms, living and studying here feels surreal.

You might have heard many people say this: I would never have believed you if you told me that I would be studying Biology at Oxford University 5 years ago

Given that term ends right at the start of December, I expected that we’d miss out on celebrating Christmas in Oxford, but instead, with Oxmas on November 25th, I’ve had double the festivities, and have celebrated Christmas both with friends from university and friends and family at home!

I never thought 8 weeks could go so quickly! It’s been such a whirlwind, from Freshers’ week to Halloween parties, to Oxmas.

Around this time last year, a small Indian kid sat by her window watching the rain trickle down the pane as she ate the last of the snacks her mum had packed for her and felt indescribably lonely.
