After early life in West Germany, I grew up in Yorkshire before coming to Oxford to study Chemistry as an undergraduate in the late 90s. I had a short spell at an IT start up in Yorkshire before returning to Oxford in late 2002 to ‘temporarily’ work at Brasenose. Starting with little more than some cables and a solitary ‘server’, it has been an interesting journey through to the considerably larger & complex estate we have today.

Alongside  my time here, I have been fortunate to be given opportunities to work at several other units of the University for varying times and projects. Outside of Oxford I have been a volunteer mentor for several small start-ups in both the legal and wellbeing sectors with regards cyber defence and data protection. My role at Brasenose includes management of the whole IT operation, strategy (yes, we do have some!), cyber defence, information security and the college’s data protection compliance framework.
