Dates, Events and Freshers' Week Timetable
SCROLL TO EXPLORE
The JCR Freshers’ Committee and College staff collaborate to put together a timetable of activities for your first week at Brasenose. Some of these are compulsory information or induction sessions, but the majority will be fun, laid-back events – everything from rowing tasters and club nights, to arts and crafts sessions and relaxed opportunities to get to know one another.

Travelling from England, Scotland or Wales
If you are currently living in England or Wales, we ask that you arrive at College on Sunday 4th October. To reduce congestion outside Brasenose, we would be grateful if those living within 2 hours’ drive of Oxford could arrive between 9am and 1pm, and those living further away aimed to arrive between 1pm and 5pm – although we completely understand if this is not possible. All Freshers should aim to be in residence in Oxford by 5pm.
Parking: you can park on Radcliffe Square directly outside Brasenose and the Radcliffe Camera. This can be accessed via Catte Street, and past Hertford College. Please be aware that, to access Oxford city centre, there is a congestion charge of £5. there are also numerous bus gates, so please plan your route into the centre carefully. Once you park, we would suggest that you collect your keys from the Porters’ Lodge before unpacking your car. We ask that all cars are moved to a car park as soon as you have finished unloading your belongings and bringing them in to Brasenose, as space is limited. Parking in Radcliffe Square will be monitored by a member of College staff.
Travelling from NI or outside the UK
If you are travelling from NI or outside the UK, you are invited to move in from Monday 28th. When you have planned your travel arrangements, please let the Accommodation and Admissions teams know so that we can ensure your room is ready for your arrival.
Dinner will be available to eat in the Hall between 6pm and 7pm.
The JCR Freshers’ week timetable, as well as further details around enrolment, inductions and introductory meetings with tutors, will be published here in the coming weeks. Please expect this by Wednesday 16th September at the latest.
