On 7th and 8th October the Brasenose community is coming together to remember and celebrate those first few days in College as we welcome a new cohort of students. These days are an opportunity to reflect on those formative first few days, as well as give back to the College and community of Brasenose.
Picture the scene, the quads echo with the sound of suitcases being dragged to rooms, the staircases ring with greetings and introductions, the hall is filled with new voices and the gate to Brasenose opens to many new faces.
A new cohort of undergraduates start at Brasenose in the next few weeks with no doubt a mix of emotions. For many there are worries about their first essay, or making friends, or even finding their way around. Their first week will be filled with excitement and nerves as these young people navigate around their new home at Oxford. This week is the first of many of their time here, but it is a formative one.
Does this take yourself back to that very first week at Brasenose? Were you excited, scared, nervous? Will you join us in commemorating those first few days in a new home by giving and supporting many more weeks at Brasenose?
