We admit six students each year, with tutors whose research includes condensed matter physics and quantum theory.
Applicants will need to take the Physics Admissions Test (PAT). Further information on entry requirements is available on the central Oxford University website.
Physics can be studied on its own or together with Philosophy as the joint course Physics and Philosophy.
Brasenose Physics graduates have gone on to a wide range of careers, both in physics and engineering and in other sectors such as industry, commerce and accountancy. Employers value the analytical and quantitative skills developed through the degree, which are relevant in many professional contexts.
Study both theory and practical applications in Computer Science or Mathematics and Computer Science from 2026.
Strong mathematical foundations with applications from information engineering to robotics, energy systems and materials.
Study pure and applied mathematics through a three-year BA or four-year MMath, learning from specialists in algebra, logic and probability.
