All students enrol on the four-year MBiol, with the option to leave after three years with a BA. We usually admit six students each year, supported by tutors with interests in evolutionary biology, ecology and conservation.
There is no admissions test for Biology. Further information on entry requirements, including the school subjects normally expected and guidance on deferred applications, is available on the central Oxford University website.
Brasenose Biology graduates go on to many different careers. Some continue their studies through research or applied postgraduate work, while others move into education, environmental consultancy, healthcare, the media or the charity sector. The scientific understanding and field experience developed during the degree are valued by employers across a wide range of areas.
Study molecular and cellular processes through a four-year integrated master’s combining rigorous theory with practical laboratory and research work.
Study human and physical geography from desert environments to urban migration, working with specialists in geomorphology and city life.
Combine pre-clinical study with clinical placements and biomedical science, guided by tutors working in neuroscience and clinical medicine.
