When I’m not working, I enjoy…

Going on walks/coffee trips with friends, playing netball, or getting involved with drama!

What’s the best part of studying at Brasenose?

100% the building and location itself – the library is gorgeous, there are some amazing libraries right outside, and if the weather is good I love sitting outside and overlooking the quad whilst I work!

Favourite spot in college?

The benches around deer park.

What’s your favourite aspect of your course?

Definitely the range! Oxford has (I think) the largest university history department in the world, and there are endless options for me to choose from, it almost seems like I don’t have enough time to study everything that I would like to.

What would you tell someone thinking about applying?

That an application is not a binding contract – you shouldn’t look at an application to Oxbridge as something scary or pressurising, but rather as an opportunity to try something new! There is never any pressure to follow through with an application, but you’ll never know how it goes until you try.

A quality you think is important for someone looking to study at Oxford?

Passion and flexibility – you need to have a love for your subject, and the ability to adjust to a new, but exciting, lifestyle!
