Playing all kinds of sports including bouldering, badminton, cricket and chess.

What’s the best part of studying at Brasenose?

The location of the college is one of the best in Oxford. It never feels dull neighbouring the Radcliffe Camera and the 2nd and 3rd year accommodation sites are a mere 5 min walk away from college (soooo much better than some of the other colleges). The porters are also very fun to talk to and can lift up your mood in seconds! In fact, everyone working here actually seems to enjoy their job.

Favourite spot in college?

New quad. Not only does it have one of the best views in Oxford, but it is also a lovely site during the Trinity term (Spring) when we can sit on the grass. Great place to hang out with friends!

What’s your favourite aspect of your course?

Although the speed of teaching is fast at times, it is intuitive and helps me think about problems for myself instead of getting all the answers. Also, the tutorial system is helpful to discuss cool ideas outside the syllabus that helps me to appreciate my subject way more.

What would you tell someone thinking about applying?

I think applying to Oxford for any degree is the best way to grow academically. If you are ready for a challenge then you will find it here. All the way from the admissions process till the end of your degree, you will learn so much! including learning how to learn independently. You will enjoy your time here besides academic too thanks to hundreds of societies and clubs!

A quality you think is important for someone looking to study at Oxford?

Someone who enjoys their subject and has a willingness to challenge themselves.
