Open Days

Oxford’s friendliest college? We think so – and our Open Days are the best way to find out. Tour the College, meet the people who live and study here now, and talk to tutors about your subject.

SCROLL TO EXPLORE

Open Days are some of our favourite days of the year. You'll get to see where you might live, eat, and study – and talk to the people who are doing that right now. Our next Open Days will be in early July and September 2026.

What happens on the day

You’ll be welcomed to College and immediately matched up with a current student, who will show you around and answer your questions on what life here is really like. We have the largest group of student ambassadors of any Oxford college – all of whom are incredible. Many of them chose Brasenose after visiting on an open day and are eager to give back and show off our college and community!

Our Senior Tutor runs a general admissions talk where you can ask questions about applying and living at Brasenose – current students will be there too.

Meet the Tutors

In the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to meet College subject tutors. They’ll talk about admissions, what studying your subject at Oxford actually involves, and answer your questions.

At our Open Days, visitors will be given tours of the College and will be able to talk to some of the current students about undergraduate life. The Senior Tutor will run a general ‘Admissions and Life at Brasenose’ talk in the morning, with current students helping. Please note that, due to space restrictions, it may be that only prospective applicants can attend Brasenose College meetings with Tutors (teachers, parents, guardians and supporters, please ask the tutor on arrival if you wish to attend). We will publish a table for the Meet the Tutor sessions nearer the time; you don’t have to book in advance and the majority run as drop-ins.

Visiting departments, libraries and museums

Our Open Days are scheduled to coincide with subject Open Days across the University – in departments, libraries and museums. We’d recommend visiting your subject department too if you can. It’ll give you a fuller sense of the facilities and what your course would be like. Check the main University Open Days webpages for dates and the full programme.
