SCROLL TO EXPLORE
When I’m not working, I enjoy…
I love listening to music, reading dystopian fiction, and cycling through Oxford on calm, beautiful evenings.
What’s the best part of studying at Brasenose?
Brasenose has a uniquely close-knit and warm community. Students are genuinely friendly, and there’s always something happening… from cosy meetups to the fun family-adoption tradition. Some of my favourite moments are board-game nights after formals, quizzes, and movie evenings. The Hulme Common Room (HCR) is always buzzing and feels like home.
Favourite spot in college?
I love the HCR. I meet people from all kinds of courses there, and I have had some of the most interesting conversations there. It’s my go-to place to relax, grab food, or make a quick coffee.
What’s your favourite aspect of your course?
Oxford’s neuroscience community is exceptional. As a medical doctor, I value how the course bridges lab research and clinical practice, giving me opportunities that I wouldn’t have had the chance to explore otherwise. The lectures teach you how to think critically…like a neuroscientist.
What would you tell someone thinking about applying?
If impactful neuroscience excites you, don’t think twice. The course is brilliant (and intense), the community is inspiring, and it truly is an academic adventure.
A quality you think is important for someone looking to study at Oxford?
Curiosity. Ask questions, seek out the incredible resources around you…libraries, talks, societies, and don’t be afraid to engage with your lecturers. Curiosity opens every door here.
