I love bouncing on a trampoline, playing with cards and learning about philosophy.

What’s the best part of studying at Brasenose?

My favourite part about the college is the incredible HCR. We have the best events and community with the warmest people, it makes college feel like a family.

Favourite spot in college?

The Chapel – feeling the reverberations of the organ through your feet during evensong is incredibly beautiful.

What’s your favourite aspect of your course?

I feel like I get a perfect mix of practical and theoretical work – between putting together interesting research questions and conducting experiments, there is a lot of variety in my day-to-day.

What would you tell someone thinking about applying?

I didn’t think I was going to get an offer, so go for it! And put Brasenose as your top college preference!

A quality you think is important for someone looking to study at Oxford?

Something that has helped me get the most out of my studies so far is being willing to bend the expectations of your course to benefit you – an example might be writing an essay that you know will give you knowledge you’ll use in the future.
