Mr Anthony Middleton

BA

Stipendiary Lecturer

After gaining a BA in Mathematics in Oxford I did a teacher training course (PGCE) in London and then moved back to Oxford where I was a schoolteacher for 28 years. I then became more of a “freeelance” and taught Mathematics in various A-Level colleges, mainly to students from overseas. I also became a College Lecturer in Mathematics for Physics at Brasenose and have continued with this for well over 20 years. I tutor the Brasenose 1st Year Physicists in Mathematics, which makes up half their first year course.

I tutor the 1st Year students in the basic Mathematics needed for the Oxford Physics course, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Normal Modes and Waves, and Vector Calculus, and I then prepare the students for their 1st Year Mathematics exams.
