Junior Kurti Research Fellow

I joined the Patel lab after completing my PhD at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where I studied PARP inhibitor resistance in BRCA1/2-deficient cancers. I am currently a Wellcome Trust Early-Career Award Fellow investigating tissue-specific responses to endogenous DNA damage and their contributions to tissue homeostasis and ageing. I am particularly interested in DNA damage-induced whole genome duplication and polyploidy.
