BA Law (Oxon), BCL (Oxon)
Stipendiary Lecturer
I am a tutor in Tort Law at Brasenose College. I read Law at St Catherine’s College before completing the BCL at Lady Margaret Hall. While I was never a student at Brasenose, I have fond memories of attending Personal Property seminars in the Amersi Lecture Room. As a student, I greatly enjoyed my legal studies, particularly the private law subjects. My passion for Tort and Contract Law has only continued to grow in my teaching role.
What I like most about teaching is being challenged on my views. I learn a great deal from questions I have never previously considered, as they prompt me to reflect on why the law has developed as it has, and how it ought to develop in the future. Drawing on my (fairly recent) experience as a law student, I aim to encourage my tutees to engage with challenging legal issues. I hope that my teaching contributes to making their legal studies as enjoyable as my own were.
