How should we best divide work between AI and humans? Chris Andrews (Chemistry, 1998), COO of FinsterAI, and Elizabeth Cordry Shaffer (PPE, 2005), VP of New Ventures at Spring Health, will explore how this “handoff” is playing out in two very different, high-stakes fields: finance and mental health. Together, they will examine what AI should fully own versus where it should play a supporting role, how trust is established when decisions or emotions are at stake, whether “human-in-the-loop” represents genuine oversight or simply reassurance, and what happens as people increasingly rely on these systems in their everyday lives.
