We admit six students each year, with tutors who specialise in areas such as algebra, logic, probability and mathematical modelling.
Applicants will need to take the Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT). Further information on entry requirements is available on the central Oxford University website.
Mathematics can be read at Brasenose as a single subject or as part of a joint school. Students can also apply for Mathematics and Computer Science, or Mathematics and Philosophy.
Quantitative skills are highly valued, and this degree prepares students for employment in a wide variety of occupations in the public and private sectors. Some graduates go on to further study, while those who enter a profession typically work in finance, consultancy and IT.
Study both theory and practical applications in Computer Science or Mathematics and Computer Science from 2026.
Combine economic theory with the analysis of modern business practice, learning from specialists in international trade, macroeconomics and strategy.
Training in theoretical and experimental physics from quantum mechanics to astrophysics, with tutors researching condensed matter and quantum theory.
