Professor Adam Perry welcomed

Adam PerryBrasenose is pleased to welcome to the College Professor Adam Perry as a new tutorial fellow in Law.

Adam grew up in Canada, and completed his undergraduate degree in economics at the University of Winnipeg, before completing an LLB at the University of Victoria, and BCL, MPhil, and DPhil degrees at the University of Oxford. He previously held positions at the European University Institute (2011-12), the University of Aberdeen (2012-14), and Queen Mary University of London (2014-15).

Adam will bring with him teaching skills in areas such as Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, and Constitutional Theory. His research draws on jurisprudential insights about basic legal concepts, such as rules and powers, to better understand public law doctrine. He has recently published articles in the Law Quarterly Review, the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies and the Cambridge Law Journal. Adam regularly writes a public law and jurisprudence blog on his research interests, which can be read here.

Reflecting on his appointment, Adam said: “I fully share Brasenose’s commitment to an open atmosphere and to excellence in teaching and research. I couldn’t be more pleased to be joining the College.”
