Stipendiary Lecturership in Physics

6-HOUR STIPENDIARY LECTURERSHIP IN PHYSICS

Brasenose College wishes to appoint a 6-hour Stipendiary Lecturer from 1st October 2019 to 30th September 2020 to cover sabbatical leave for Prof Jonathan Jones. The person appointed will teach students in the first three years, ideally covering papers CP1 (1st year classical mechanics), A3 (2nd year quantum mechanics), B3 (3rd year atomic physics) and B7 (3rd year advanced classical mechanics for Physics & Philosophy). The Lecturer will also be required to participate in student admissions and to assist generally in the running of Physics and Physics & Philosophy in collaboration with the subject tutors.

The salary scale will be within the range £13,513 - £15,198 per annum, according to qualifications and experience. Note that this is not a full-time role and the salary reflects this.
