Role
The Domestic Bursar is responsible for the delivery of the facilities and domestic services to the College. This is achieved by leading and supporting approximately 100 staff. The role also includes responsibility for the health and safety of the College and its members.
Background
Matthew started at Brasenose in 2014. Previously he gained 16 years’ experience leading and managing operational/administrative departments in the Independent Education sector. This included time at St Paul’s Cathedral School in London, managing two Chateaux in France and latterly as Domestic Bursar at Repton School in Derbyshire.
After studying for his degree in Business Management through the Open University, Matthew has continued his education and development by recently completing his Occupational Health and Safety Diploma and becoming a member of the IIRSM (International Institute of Risk and Safety Management).
Other
Matthew currently lives in Banbury and fills any spare time with his photography, reading and fulfilling his wanderlust.
