Alumni Dining
Dining in College
As a BNC Member you are warmly welcomed back to College and invited to dine at High Table in Hall on guest nights Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays in full term, up to three times a year at your own expense. You are invited to partake in Dessert after Dinner by invitation of the Governing Body. Alumni may dine with a guest, at the discretion of the Senior Common Room Curator and Director of Development, please contact the Alumni Office for details.
Signing up
If you wish to dine in College, please contact the Alumni Relations Office (telephone +44(0)1865 287275 or email development.office@bnc.ox.ac.uk) to check availability at least a week in advance so that we can arrange to welcome you properly. Please note that the number of places available on each occasion is limited.
Attire
Black Tie is worn when dining on Sunday evenings. Formal business attire is to be worn on all other occassions.
Timings
Tuesdays and Fridays
You are invited to arrive at 7pm for a pre-dinner drink in the SCR (the Lodge will direct you). Dinner in Hall will be held at 7.15pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Sundays
You are invited to attend College Prayers on Sundays at 6pm in the Chapel. College Prayers are followed by drinks in Lecture Room VII. Dinner in Hall is held at 7.30pm.
Please remember that High Table is the formal private dining area of the Fellowship, please adopt an appropriate respectful manner when dining.
